Another Klum House Oberlin!

I often find that I make things in two’s (as you may have noticed from my blog posts). When you have the pattern all laid out, and everything is still fresh in your mind, it just makes sense to make another! So the Klum House Oberlin v2 was made immediately after v1!

I decided on another block colour (outer) version, but this time in the gorgeous antique colour. This is another best quality organic oilskin fabric from Merchant and Mills. Just look at those lovely creases giving the bag its own unique character.

For the lining I have used a beautifully co-ordinating Tilda quilting cotton (which has been interfaced for added stability. This lining really gives the bag a pop of colour but matches very well with the neutral outer.

I also added an inner zipper pocket to keep bits and bobs safe and secure. The pattern has a zipper pocket that is exposed, but I prefer to keep the lining as the focal point so this style works better.

The same as my first version, the Oberlin tote has 4 huge outer pockets which are great for easy access.

Oberlin leather handles

I used best quality leather handles which are super sturdy and have a lovely feel. The colour is medium tan and it matches very well with the antique colour of the bag.

Another lovely make that I really enjoyed to create. As I mentioned on my previous post, I will be making a small batch of these to sell (once I’ve purchased the licence to do so).
